Last Saturday, Albert attended a Halloween Party Sortie at Expat Kitchen. Though most of the 30 kids were younger than him, Albert told me that he made friends with the other kids and enjoyed the activity. With guidance from Chef Annette, the kids made “bloody” fingers, RIP Cupcakes, Oreo spider, brain cupcakes and mummy sausage rolls. Albert himself tasted all the “gruesome” foodies that he had made.
Before this event, I was thinking of whether I should throw a Halloween Party for the kids at home. But it occurred to me that preparing for such a party would need lots of decorations and tons of clearing afterwards. Still, this might be the last because Albert is already starting to think like an adult. He sometimes thinks that Halloween is too childish for him. Oh dear really, time really flies and he’s grown so fast! So the Halloween Party Sortie was probably the best way for him to experience it.
